SURVEY INTO THE EFFECTS OF CRIME
2 July 2004
St Albans City & District Community Safety
Partnership is conducting a survey to find out how residents’ lives
are affected by crime and anti-social behaviour.
A random sample of one in ten households in
St Albans and District will receive a copy of the survey.
Over the next few weeks, St Albans City & District
Community Safety Partnership will be gathering information
about people’s concerns and experiences of crime and
anti-social behaviour across the district.
The Community Safety Partnership has employed
a research company to conduct a survey exploring residents’ attitudes
towards, and experiences of, crime and anti-social behaviour.
Anyone who receives a questionnaire is asked
to complete and return it using the pre-paid envelope provided.
Chris Roach, Community Safety Co-ordinator,
said: “Residents are assured that information supplied
will be treated confidentially. All completed questionnaires
will be entered into a cash prize draw. All the information
supplied in response to the questionnaire will assist the
Community Safety Partnership in identifying matters of concern
to residents and planning for a safer St Albans.”
The St Albans City and District Community Safety
Partnership consists of the District and County Councils,
the Police, Police Authority, Fire & Rescue and the Primary
Care Trust as well as Neighbourhood Watch and a number of
voluntary sector organisations.
The partnership plans how to deal effectively
with the causes and consequences of crime and disorder across
the area.
