Independent Advisory Group (IAG)
The Independent Advisory Group (IAG) is made up of local representatives from a wide range of communities who are on hand to advise Hertfordshire Constabulary on a variety of issues.
The IAG includes representatives from black and ethnic minorities, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi and trans) and religious groups, people with learning difficulties, and people with disabilities.
Any group which feels that the police need a better understanding of their particular point of view is welcome, and is encouraged to attend.
Its aim is to establish a two-way dialogue between the advisors and the police so that the Constabulary can provide a better service to the community as a whole.
It also aims to offer constructive criticism and helpful advice to assist police in all facets of its work.
If you wish to speak to a member of the group or wish to join the IAG and attend meetings, please contact us on our freephone number 0800 3588868 or visit www.hertsiag.co.uk
