Fire
During 2002, Hertfordshire fire-fighters attended
some 27,662 emergency 999 incidents throughout the county. That’s
an average of 75 per day, or 3 every hour. They managed to arrive
at 94.5% of these
within the strict attendance times pre-set nationally by the Government.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s key
aim is to reduce the chance of fire and other mishaps from occurring.
By encouraging
people to follow fire safety advice and take appropriate precautions
this can be achieved.
