ANPR - Automatic Numberplate Recognition System

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is an established technology that identifies vehicles of interest to the Police by using pattern recognition software. It is operated as a proactive tool using dedicated police teams, or in an intelligence gathering capacity, with the primary objective to target terrorism, serious and organised crime and volume crime.
